Maybe you don’t understand me, but I’m sure you will! I spent the weekend studying Marina Bychkova’s work – I’m in love with it, impressed with the dolls and the creative process – fantastic!

I’m very happy with this discovery, and I share it with you – maybe most of you already know her…

Marina was born and lived in Siberia (Russia) until she was 14 years old. Since 1997 she lives in Vancouver, Canada.

Her biggest passion is to create porcelain dolls, because, as she says: “The paint will never fade, scratch or chip. The porcelain pigment will remain unchanged by sun light and unaffected by finger oil.”  And this is very important for her. She says: “these creations are designed and meticulously manufactured by hand to the highest degree of excellence. Porcelain is my medium of choice because of its permanence in the face of time and elements.”

I spent hours looking at the dolls on her website – the distant look, a charming sadness…, its anatomy and the sexuality details – the genitals with such delicate details…a piece of art!

The artist says: “I refer to various sources of inspiration and idea development. Any artist and specially a doll artist must look outside of their medium and aesthetic for inspiration to avoid regurgitating what’s already been done a million times.”

I’m still dreaming of, one day, ordering my own doll – a beautiful dream, isn’t it?

To order it’s necessary to fill a form (on the website) and pay 50% of the total price. A porcelain nude doll costs $ 1,985 CND and takes from 150 to 350 hours to be made, depending on its characteristics.

Marina presents us with a secret: she says that her dolls are living beings and that she talks to them…

I thought about wearing it upside down, a little higher on the arm (right below the shoulder). I love the ribbon braid, the embroideries, the cloth fringes…

And this illustration made by the designer who created this bracelet, is incredibly refreshing and pretty, isn’t it?

I propose start the day with a different look, cosier, calmer; enjoying details of life…they are magical!

Girls, sweet friends…today I woke up with a terrible headache, my nose congested, my throat looked like I had swallowed a cat…my body was aching…well, it looked like flu (and I hope it’s just it!).

After sending the girls to school, I saw myself sitting alone at the coffee table, wearing horrible pajamas, my hair was tousled, feeling like doing nothing, listening to Renato Machado on TV (a Brazilian reporter – Renato, I’ve got nothing against you!)…..

Well, I thought about having a hot coffee, and I remembered the “Maisena” cookies I put in Lu’s lunch box…it was my salvation!!!!

Think with me, I haven’t dunked cookies in coffee for a long time! Guys, it’s very good! It’s like if your mom was there taking care of you…you feel comforted and tenderly touched….do I have a fever??? LOL

Understand it as you wish, but I needed to say it here, for you, and to give this advice that can save lives! In case you have flu, PMS, loneliness, headache and other boring things, go for Brazilian cornstarch cookies dunked in coffee, relax and think of nothing…

If I could be a doll I’d be a Blythe …LOL…I love these dolls! I have one (my hubby gave it to me) and believe me: I still play with dolls….

And my friend Stella knows it – she gave me this cute little notebook, it goes everywhere with me!

It was a surprise present that made me feel like a child – I really appreciated it!

Hello guys!

Look what a great idea! Chef Bineau learned from a friend of mine (sweet Claudia) how to enjoy a romantic Valentine’s night: an easy and delicious snack to enjoy with your love!

Before explaining the recipe, there’s a tip: decorate your house with candles, creating a special place to enjoy yourselves…leave some notes (like those from the “notes sachet”) and don’t forget the ambiance scent…then it’s perfect!

Well, let’s go!

It’s very easy and cheap (but your love will love it, it looks complicated and it seems you cooked for hours…)

1. We’ll need a Camembert cheese, garlic, rosemary, grinded pepper, olive oil, 1 Italian bread and pepper jam jelly.
2. Take the cheese from its pack and cut a tiny slice from the top of it.
3. Make some small holes in the cheese to fit the garlic pieces (you already chopped the garlic).
4. Also put some rosemary stems in the cheese (just a little, ok?)
5. Sprinkle some pepper (as you wish). Then add the olive oil all over it.
6. Now, it’s ready to bake!
7. Bake it in the oven until it starts melting…tip: on the table, serve it on a rechaud (to keep it warm). If you don’t have one, create it with a small candle inside a candle holder (must keep its ventilation) and put the plate with the cheese on it…
8. Serve it with Italian bread and pepper jam jelly…delicious!!!!!

And a red wine goes with it!

Yes, that’s it! Sá works with us at Chria and goes to Fashion College (of course…); and she loves wearing her jeans inside out…

Awesome!!! Thanks Sá, I’m not the only crazy person in this office (joking LOL). Seriously girls, I agree with Sá: the color of the jeans inside out is gorgeous…and the charming sewing and details make the outfit interesting, funny and personalized (a lot!!)

But you must have style and confidence to wear it – and it looked gorgeous on her!
