I’m sitting at the apartment balcony thinking about a nice post for you….it’s so windy today, there’s nobody at the beach, the sea is so furious….but the view is still gorgeous.

This wind reminds me of a flower I love – and a great surprise came up – the meaning of the Japanese Cherry Tree flower. I think it has everything to do with wind, and I wish it brings you all nice and true words to enjoy New Years Eve!

Well, Sakura (the flower) means spiritual beauty, and it’s a symbol to love, it also means transience of life (it lives briefly). Its blossom is one of the most beautiful demonstrations of beauty, but the flower fades quickly and the wind spreads it away.

To think: “The Cherry blossom reminds us that life is brief, and we must enjoy and live the present moment and all awakening moments”.

I wish you all a lot of Sakuras in 2010, and tons of happiness and gratitude – everyday!

Girls, it’s sooo hot – I’ve never seen something like this. One day prettier than the other (I’m sooooo taned!!). I show you some pictures I took at the beach today….by the way, this beach is awesome!!!! It’s so wide and the sea is so clear…gorgeous!!!!!

Hello!

Just a little before going out on vacation, I made something crazy: I decided to coat a cabinet I have at home (in our home office) with delicate cloths. I wanted a light effect, fresh and personalized….This cabinet is made with dark wood (was made!) and its visual effect …. it was too heavy and dark…so I decided to try and make something I never did before – to coat furniture with cloths…..and it worked!!!! I was so worried that it could have wrinkles – it’s a big cabinet and it’s the most important furniture in this room. Well, I had the obligation to make it perfect! LOL

Take it easy – use white glue without mixing it with water, and a small brush to smear it over the wood. Important: don’t use too much glue, it may stain the cloth.

I loved it!!!! If you want to change your old furniture: go ahead!!!!

Hello girls!

Well, first I want to apologize my absence for these last few days….(I hate it being away from here!) – I left the office at Dec.23^rd, already going home to pack for my vacation trip – crazy!! – I didn’t have time to post here. I’m now at Mariscal Beach (you can take a look at http://www.litoraldesantacatarina.com/bombinhas/fotos-da-praia-de-mariscal-bombinhas.php or at google pictures) without internet access. I’m now at a real state office borrowing their computer (imagine this scene!!LOL). You can’t imagine what happened yesterday – I was in a beach around Mariscal – a far away beach without any kind of communication…wow, I panic! But now I’m better. I guess I’ll have to enjoy my vacations with my hubby and daughters! It’s gorgeous here, the weather is perfect…and that’s it!! I think some dark forces made me take these vacations! LOL

Well, at Jan.11^th I’ll be back, visiting all my dear blogs and posting some news.

Hi girls!

My apartment has neutral colors (yes, believe me!) to make it look bigger…and it was like this for a long time, until last week when I put a bedspread and I loved its effects! The color explosion in its delightful printings gave new life to my room…and also to me! I was impressed how it changed the room, its energy and visual effect. Now I wanna fill my whole house with colors!!! Of course,  not everywhere….I wanna linen an old closet I have in my home office with small printings, and I want to put some colored cushions in my couch – it’s a visual big change to start a joyful year, right?
